Ipheion Uniflorum Spring Starflower

Funny winter so far ventured out onto a rain saturated garden and discovered the spring starflowers flowering before the snowdrops.

Looking at the foliage I can see why it is related to the onion family

  4. Wouldn't it be nice to have some "Normal for the time of year" type of weather for a change? Poor old plants are confused.

My Iris Reticulata are opening now, I see (I came home in daylight for the first time this week!). I'll be out photographing them tomorrow.
