Juvenile Blue Tits

Two juvenile blue tits arrived in the garden this afternoon with one of the adults they proceeded to embark on what looked like a feeding frenzy lasting about ten minutes. This was hardly surprising considering the huge amount of aphids and other bugs that have arrived and settled on the shrubs and trees in the warmer weather here of late.

    I have noticed the blue tits doing the very same - I just wish they would pay more attention to my roses. Great pictures David.

      I wonder if they feel less vulnerable in trees rather than roses because they hardly touch mine either

    They look adorable and purposeful at the same time. Nice to see them close up. They move so fast in our garden you can't see them properly.

    I'm lucky with my one rose. I had lots of greenfly one day. The next I spotted ladybirds on the rose and no greenfly!
