The Beehive on the Green

Situated in the village of East Dean East Sussex it makes a lovely stop off when exploring the local sights of Beachy Head, The Belle Tout lighthouse (now a B and B) Birling Gap and the lovely Seven Sisters country park.
We visited on Wednesday after touring the area and were made very welcome by the owners Lee and Debbie, they have a wonderful selection of cakes and pastries and lots of other goodies that take your fancy including a fine selection of teas and coffees.
We both found it so nice to find a excellent Deli and Cafe in the area after the usual fare from the supermarkets and coffee shops in the high street, to have such a nice quality selection of produce on offer was a real treat. The award winning Sussex Charmer cheese was the best we have tasted for a long time, and the idea of a speciality hamper made to your choice as a present for someone very appealing.
We would heartily recommend a visit if you are in the area.

  1. We sometimes buy Sussex Charmer cheese on our Farmers' Market. It's very nice, but not as nice as our local (Hampshire) Tunworth though! :)
